African filmmakers and artists were recognized today across the FIPRESCI Competition, TEDDY Awards, and Berlinale Talents Mastercard Enablement Programme.

Mahamat‑Saleh Haroun (Chad) – "Soumsoum, La Nuit Des Astres" | FIPRESCI Competition

Gaël Kamilindi (Rwanda/DRC) – "Taxi Moto" | TEDDY Best Short Film

Tapiwa Chipfupa (Zimbabwe) – "Audiovisual Entrepreneurs Laboratory (AVEL)" | Berlinale Talents

Phillip Leteka (South Africa/Lesotho) – "Majoaneng – Academy of Images and Letters" | Berlinale Talents Alumni

The awards of the International Jury in the Competition, the Perspectives Jury (GWFF Best First Feature Award), and the International Short Film Jury, as well as the Berlinale Documentary Award, will be announced during the Award Ceremony at the Berlinale Palast later today.
