Meta Launches 'Made by Africa, Loved by the World' 2026 — Spotlighting African Cinema

Meta's sixth annual pan-African campaign zeroes in on African cinema with a five-part vodcast series profiling Kehinde Bankole, Linda Mtoba, Nomzamo Mbatha, Osas Ighodaro and Tobi Bakre, plus a Meta AI–powered evolution of the #ShareYourAfrica community challenge.

What: The sixth edition of Meta's pan-African campaign, this year centred entirely on African cinema. The programme features a five-part vodcast series profiling Kehinde Bankole, Linda Mtoba, Nomzamo Mbatha, Osas Ighodaro and Tobi Bakre, hosted by I Said What I Said (Nigeria) and Because We Said So (South Africa). It also evolves the #ShareYourAfrica community challenge with Meta AI integration, inviting creators across the continent to participate.

Who: Meta (Facebook), with Amplify Africa as media partner. Communications led by Kezia Anim-Addo, Communications Director for Africa, Middle East & Türkiye.

Where: Pan-African, with talent spotlights from Nigeria and South Africa.

When: Launched 13 May 2026, anchored to Africa Day on 25 May 2026.
