ECDC Pitching Session Competition 2026 — FAME Week Africa
FAME Week Africa, in partnership with the Eastern Cape Development Corporation (ECDC) and the Eastern Cape Provincial Arts and Culture Council (ECPACC), invites film and television producers to submit projects for the ECDC Pitching Session Competition 2026. Shortlisted producers will pitch live at FAME Week Africa (28–30 October, CTICC Cape Town) to ECDC, ECPACC, and industry decision-makers. Projects may qualify for funding through the Eastern Cape Film Investment Fund (ECFIF).

Format
Feature Film (90–160 min), Short Film (<40 min), Short Documentary (≤30 min). Hybrid and cross-genre projects eligible.
Eligibility
Registered companies or SPCVs in South Africa. Must be tax compliant. Must secure at least 50% of total project budget. Must employ Eastern Cape-based filmmakers and/or provide job-shadowing opportunities. At least 60% of procurement must go to EC-based service providers. At least 50% of principal photography in the Eastern Cape. At least 60% of production expenditure in the Eastern Cape. Must include a training and skills-transfer programme in the Eastern Cape.
