The GFC Marketing & Distribution Fund supports South African filmmakers with festival attendance, participation, and distribution of their films. It covers attendance at local festivals that serve as launching pads for South African films, international festivals that offer entry into the world cinema market, career-enhancing networking opportunities, and master classes or professional development programmes not available any other way.

Format
Completed films (feature, documentary, short, animation) seeking festival exposure, distribution deals, or market access. Focus on films made in or connected to Gauteng.
Eligibility
South African filmmakers based in or with films connected to Gauteng Province. Must have a completed or near-completed film with a confirmed festival selection or distribution opportunity. Disaggregation targets — Women: 40%, Youth: 40%, Persons with Disabilities: 10%. Letters of commitment/intent from international co-producers and funders required for co-productions.
