
Seeds of Cinema Youth Programme — Sunshine Cinema x GIZ
A year-long learning programme (April 2026 – March 2027) by Sunshine Cinema in partnership with GIZ, delivered in collaboration with National Geographic Society and Disney Africa. Selected participants are trained as Film Impact Facilitators — organising community film screenings and leading guided conversations on conservation, climate change and social justice using Sunshine Cinema solar-powered mobile cinema model. This is not a film production course, but a community engagement and environmental awareness programme. Includes a 6-month University of Cape Town online course on impact facilitation.

Eligibility
Young people aged 21-34 living in rural or peri-urban communities within the Kavango-Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area (KAZA TFCA) or the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park (KTP) regions of Southern Africa. Must be passionate about storytelling, conservation and social change.
What You Get
Film impact facilitation training, community screening leadership experience, climate and conservation dialogue skills, a 6-month UCT online course on impact facilitation, and a basic monthly stipend for the 12-month programme duration.
